I see.....does this mean that they will still use the old list for the last 47?
i see why not , but it sucks that SA Trainee and new SA will be in effect same time. new SA will be in effect 2017. SA Trainee will still have a lot of people on the list.

In the past that has not been the case. The old list is killed once the new one is established....that's why it's imperative to do very good on these exams. The union (osa) behind these titles told me last week that the old list is killed.
PAA promotional exam was extended to Feb 2017 and now PAA open comp extended till July 2017 which is gonna be the second time they extended it so annoyed cause that means the list from both exams I took last year is nowhere near being established and the waiting game continues

Also, I feel like there's no justification as to why the list was extended.

Principal Administrative Associate List 8068 Extended
Jun 22, 2016 0
Whereas a restriction against the filling of vacancies due to budgetary constraints has limited the number of Principal Administrative Associates that agencies have been able to appoint, the duration of the existing eligible list for that title, Exam No. 8068, has been extended to July 6, 2017. The 5,072-name list was established in July 2011.
Readers should note that eligible lists change over their four-year life as candidates are added, removed, reinstated, or rescored. The list shown below is accurate as of the date of establishment but list standings can change as a result of appeals This list has been extended for a further year.
So it is safe to say that last year's PAA promtional List won't be established until January ?
Is this a fast moving title as far as job openings go?
Does anyone know which agencies use this title?
Also, I was a CA at HRA when I took prom PAA exam, but have moved to better paying CA job at DEP. How does this effect how I will, be invited to hiring pools?
Thanks for any info in advance.

A lot of agencies use this title. The office title and the civil service title can be totally different. You can't say for sure is safe to say that last year's PAA promotional list won't be established until January. The reason is that we don't know how long it will takes for the DCAS to establish those list. I am not sure what are the factors that affect the timeframe to establish the list.
