See Flatbush, Bedstuy and others. When my friend bought her house in Bedstuy I secretly thought she was CRAZY. Now the value of her house had almost doubled. During her annual house party in the summer her new 'fancy smancy' neighbours text to remind her to turn it down. Now. Over 70% of the neighbors are high income earners who love the cgaracter of the Brownstones. They don't seem to care that it was once the HOOD. I am seeing more interracial couples in the area.

Personally, I'd take Jamaica over the other neighborhoods creating a small amount of gentrification chatter, such as ENY or the Piano District.

We've just met and I already have respect for you for using that term loverofnyc. Please tell me your opinion on city slickers as well as yellow bellies. Speaking of yellow bellies, some will perish as the pioneers of Jamaica's caucasiantrification.

Oh and Bed Stuy is known as Dough or Die these days, have you heard?

Yeah the Piano district is probably the brain child of robert moses' grandkid. That wouldn't be ironic.

Here's a piece from the Fox 5 news last night. Jamaica: NYC's next hot neighborhood - Fox 5 NY | WNYW

One of my favorite blogs with daily reports of the good, the bad, and the ugly of the greater Jamaica area.
