I live in a privately owned apt bldg. My landlord is always giving me a hard time about having a roommate. Any roommate I have ever had has been clean, quiet & respectful. On the new lease, he has an addition that states no subletting. I am not subletting, I live in the apt. Is it legal for him to tell me I cannot have anyone in here? I appreciate the feedback, I cannot get a lawyer to reply to my questions.

Why would you voluntarily giving the landlord a reason to pester you?
It would be best to consult an attorney about your rights to a roommate, things like this change all of the time and the link posted above may be correct however, it may not be correct.
