Hello All!

What is the best city/town to live in NY or CT that will provide the following (I'm looking for a place as similar to Hoboken/Jersey City as I can find along the Metro North lines since I drive up to Massachusetts around twice a month ):

1. Easy commute to NYC - I work in SOHO.
2. Apartment/loft apartment around $1,300 or less for rent - I don't know how realistic this is
3. A young city with an active nightlife of it's own
4. Safe for people to visit

Any help such as comments, suggestions, information and education would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I don't think that's realistic man. Even if a place like that existed it would inevitably become more expensive. Your going to have to tweak your price range up.

I'll help you out.. change line #2, from $1,300 to $3,300 and you'll get a more refine list of neighborhood that fit your needs.

Try Morristown, NJ. Apartments may not be the best with that budget but there is nightlife and it's an easy train ride into Penn Station.
