There were people handing them out on the street.

That's the route that the Village Voice went.

I think it's free only one day a week. I don't know anyone who still buys magazines.

Why anyone ever paid for that piece of crap is a mystery to me.

All print media is doing badly because of the internet. They hope to give out gazillions of free copies, thereby boost their circulation and ad revenue.

I'll beg to differ. It is most certainly not crap. It's not a great magazine, but it's certainly deserves to survive more than, say Us or Lucky.

Of course they are handing it out for free. Most magazines now are filled with mostly advertisements.
