Hey guys,

my brother is a student at Syracuse and has an internship in Sunset Park Brklyn starting mid June. He is having a hard time looking for a place to sublet/rent for 2-3 months. Can any one help with a creditable website or know of a way for him to find a place to live? Out of the 25+ places he has contacted through Craigslist, none have responded with positive feed back. His price range is from $900-$1200 per month.

Thanks!!!

Perhaps offer to pay the full rent upfront. CL is competitive. A lot of people looking for apartments. In the past, when I lived with roommates and needed a new one, I would get 100 of replies for an ad.
Personally we wanted roommates who already lived in the city and were looking for a longer term place so perhaps those may be issues.
He really needs to find a sublet since its only a few months long.

Check out programs some of the schools run that rent out dorms - though it may be late for that. My sister stayed in dorms at the New School one year.

check out sublet.com and roommates.com.

Good luck. The price range you mentioned should be doable.
