Watch your back, de Blasio! Black leaders revolt against mayor | New York Post

It would appear that de Blasio runs the risk of losing an important part of his base. Will he be an one term mayor?

As strange as politics is I'd day it's too early to tell. With that said de Blasio made too many promises to the poor that he knew from the very beginning he could not keep. NYC was reshaped in ways under Bloomberg that cannot be undone (the rezoning of formerly crime ridden industrial districts to corporate and residential use). Affordable housing under him has marginally increased since he has become mayor.

I like how they got the perfect picture of the black guy giving him that look. Not saying that it was intentional but the timing was perfect for this article.

Does this hint at the fact that black churches are in control of NYC politics now?

Don't be stupid. It hints that they are important part of de Blasio's base. 2013 voter turn out was low.

So if other people turn out in 2017 or if the black churches don't support de Blasio he is done. But that's not because Black churches control NYC politics. I can't believe some of the foolish things you say. How could organizations with little money, (and most NYC Blacks are not regular church attenders) weak attendance control NYC? And I told a fellow right wing troll of yours, NYC is not a Black majority city.

In NYC you can't be Robin Hood and Machiavelli at the same time. You have to be decisive enough to win business leaders support and not **** off leaders of civil rights groups too.

I doubt black voters are likely to flock to the republican candidate, though they may just not turn out to the polls

What about the black republicans? There has got to be some black people out there that don't want to dish out 40% of there income to the government.

So far we know that cops and their supporters, black churchgoers, and millionaires won't vote for de blasio.

At most 10% of blacks vote republican, probably less in NYC.

Assuming they follow those few leaders mentioned.

These black church leaders should revolt against al Sharpton.
