As long as you're white I think you're safe. If you aren't, I'd start running now.

"They" think they have carte blanche to do what they want. It's not about the law or society. It's all about what's "mines".

The 1st Amendment prevents the government from restricting your free speech, not individuals or companies. If someone gets fired for their liberal use of the F bomb, or banned from a privately owned message board, they do not have a lawsuit; likewise, if a newspaper refuses to publish your letter, that is not a violation of the 1st Amendment.

But back to the topic:

When government tries to do everything, they end up doing nothing well.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other peoples' money.
-Margaret Thatcher

A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have.
-Gerald Ford

I am for doing good to the poor, but...I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. I observed...that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.
-Benjamin Franklin

The government can not love you.

Why is it when someone disagrees or gets pissed with another posters comments, the "grammar police" all of a sudden appaers? Why is that?

English isn't every ones first language, it isn't mine.

also, this isn't English class either, we don't need to be corrected by another poster.

Posts like that are annoying.

I think the Mayor and President at this point both suck, and need to be replaced. Obama has done absolutely nothing for us, nothing at all.......except "ban: the mailing of tobacco products, thus buying cigarets cheaper, thus making it more expensive for teens to start smoking. Whoop de do. Apparantly the president hasnt come to bensonhurst where there are still unfortuntely many young smokers?????
