My tastes keep jumping. Currently I'd say:

West Village brownstone/townhouse until late 20's
UWS brownstone/townhouse until late 30's
Forest Hills Gardens mansion or residence at the Hudson View Gardens in Hudson Heights thereafter

Hudson Square? I never knew they had a name for that small area. I would've just called it SoHo.

I have it Hudson Square solely because they officially labeled it as such on nyc.gov haha

I agree that is pretty mind-blowing. It clearly caught my eye when I was in Long Island City recently.

Nice older elevator building on the UWS. Parts of Brooklyn would nice too. Park Slope. Maybe Bay Ridge. Riverdale in the Bronx. Nothing too fancy.

You couldn't pay me a million dollars to live in that...especially on one of higher floors. Especially in this post 9-11 world.
