Not bad but certainly isn't like Whitestone next door. It has gone down in quality though I'd say.

I think for NYSC it's around $200 initiation fee and then the $20 per month. Parking is free on the street in most neighborhoods. If you end up in a non-congested area, you could probably park on the street no problem. In congested areas, it's difficult to find a spot. Also you have to learn about alternate side parking (you can Google it) to understand how often you'd need to move your car. Not all areas have alternate side. Usually the places in Queens that look like suburbs don't have it.

Otherwise you can pay for parking, in the vicinity of $200 per month. Also depends on the area. Craigslist has listings.

It's a neighborhood. There are also the Pomonok Houses (projects). Within Pomonok there is Electchester which is a co-operative.

I thought the same thing! First time I've ever heard anyone on this board looking to move to Pomonok that was not already in the NYCHA system. I've even passed by Electchester a few times and had no idea it was part of a neighborhood called Pomonok.
