Since I am a complete virgin in this area. I was hoping to get some schooling from the people who are not. I am putting my house back together after Sandy and decided to put them in. Going with wired and need more than eight cameras, probably a 16 camera system. No not afraid of the boogeyman but everything is open and now is the time to run cable before the rocking starts. I am going to be traveling after all is done and I retire. So I want outside and inside coverage. I like the idea that if something bad happens there is a record of it. Plus I can keep tabs on my son in case he forgets that there will be no keg parties at my castle. I plan to have one camera on the house trap pit and another on the boiler/hot water heater.
So I would want to be able to take a look remotely but have the ability to as Warner Wolf used to say,...."Let's go to the videotape! ". haha I would appreciate any and all feedback on the pros and cons of different systems. Thank you all. Peace...........
