I have 2 friends coming in from Japan on Thursday, Aug. 6 and I was considering taking them out on one of those cruise boats that circles the Statue of Liberty and provides a beautiful view all around of what I assume is the Hudson river. Any recommendations for any particular companies that do this? I am not rich by NY standards, but I also know that this may be the only time this couple ever comes to Japan, so I would like to make it a memorable experience for them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I recommend taking their full circle around Manhattan which IIRC is 2.5 hours. If you prefer a shorter cruise you could take the shorter "landmark cruise" which just piddles around the downtown area and state of liberty a little bit. That latter option is also available as part of the NY Explorer Pass if you are doing a bunch of tourist stuff and want to save money.
Other than Circle Line, does anyone know of any other companies that are offering more of a party cruise?
