Hello

i was recently doing some reading about the great Lou Gehrig and came across his former address in North Riverdale. I looked it up on Google maps. Wow! What a nice home on such a nice street. North Riverdale seems like quite a lovely little enclave.

Question 1: Where exactly is the border of North Riverdale and Yonkers?

Question 2: Using Googe maps, I did some looking around the area of Yonkers just beyond Riverdale. The area quickly goes from a leafy enclave in North Riverdale to something a little on the gritty side. What is your opinion of this south Yonkers area? Fairly safe?

Thanks!

Riverdale(and NYC) ends at 263 St.

There are some nice areas of Yonkers just above Riverdale: https://goo.gl/maps/GfQ6i and https://goo.gl/maps/tqT4R

SW Yonkers-not safe. some parts appear even worse than The Bronx

the border of N Riverdale goes from the northwestern end of Van Cortlandt Park all the way west to the Hudson River by the College of Mt St Vincent
