In the Crains link it shows Bushwick with 884 over 4 buildings. I don't consider "East Williamsburg" a real neighborhood so those buildings are definitely in Bushwick.

I agree with you guys.

There are a lot of other options people have. This report was just about Northern Brooklyn as well so maybe South Brooklyn would offer more options.

But the way NYC is growing and the demand in Brooklyn overall increase the "cheap" days are coming to an end. Though in Northern BK it's already over for the most part.

The more people (especially richer and more educated people) the better.

And the zoning laws should cover keeping the infrastructure from exceeding capacity. Plus all those buildings paying all those water and sewer charges (which have gone up significantly over the last several years) will fund the expansion of those systems as necessary. And, while they'll likely to have tax abatements to start. Those abatement fall off over time, and when they're paying full boat property taxes, those buildings will be contributing a lot of money to the city government. Not to mention the income and sales taxes paid by the people living in them.

No need to go that far. There's Staten Island.

When I get on the third world worthy 4,5,6 trains, the first thing I think is 'I wish we had 22k more people riding these.'

^^^ Not too far from Westchester either!

Honestly, the city will continue to grow.
More towers are coming at unprecedented heights (see 29-37 41st Avenue in Long Island City 900ft+ and the Brooklyn tower that'll rise over 1,000ft+)

Acclimatize or move.

Lol at 3rd world worthy. Ironically though our system leads the pack in this country, by a huge margin. Also, it's 22k new apts. Adding well over 22K in new residents. More density coming for Downtown BK (which can definitely handle it!) and it's needed. More residents, more amenities/retail, more profit = the circle of life.

The increase will hopefully signal the city/state to build faster infrastructure for the subway + overall transportation.

Regardless adding 22K new units is impressive for Brooklyn and in the long run the entire city.

Today at rush hour someone was smoking on the 4 train in Brooklyn. The conductor called him out and asked for police help.

He should have called the fire department instead.

Someone is supposedly building a 17 story building by Myrtle-Wyckoff. But on the Queens side. Kind of out of place for around here.

The tallest building of all is going up in LIC.

Looking out my window from where I I live, I can see lic Queens from a view and I notice tall buildings going up at an rate. Just the other day on the 7 going to Queens, I got an up close encounter view of development in Lic Queens. My mouth fell to the floor. It really looks like an extension of Manhattan.
