We all know Trump is going to have major policies changes for NYC. We just know it. I can see Trump pushing accountability in education in exchange for federal funding a lot more than Obama.
Do you guys think Trump would sell off NYCHA?
Do you think Trump would enforce the MTA to modernize in exchange for money for expansion. By modernize I mean use technology to reduce labor costs. Already Cuomo has made the MTA adopt E-Tix, an app you use to buy LIRR and MNRR tickets (this will be expanded to the subways).
What changes do you guys think are in store for NYC, because if we are honest we know big changes are somehow in store.
That guy is going to have a lot on his plate when it's his turn so IDK if local level NYC politics are going to get much of his attention. How much time do you think Obama sits around wondering what to do about NYCHA? lol.

NYCHA is funded by HUD, a federal agency.
The Secretary of Housing, is a cabinet member appointed by the President.
All presidents formulate very specific policies towards large cities, and NYC has lobbyists who try to get money from the federal government.
Trump is also a NYC developer and his children will inherit his businesses. He very much has NYC on his mind............

I agree completely. Don't think he will spend much if any time thinking about NYC. Even if he wanted to the federal government is very limited in what it can do in individual cities and states.

Again this is not true. The congress votes on a budget that is signed by the President. There's a lot that they can do. You guys are naive if you don't realize how much federal money comes into the city. Money that always comes with conditions.
Speculation is Trump is very pro business and will bring back wall street to it glory days by repealing regulation that was pass after the financial crisis (Dodd-Frank). In addition, he plans to lower/cut taxes on corporation and individuals. This has been viewed very positive in the stock market with the DOW hitting all-time high as investors anticipate a transition to Trump. Trump stands to benefit indirectly as more people will have money to spend on luxury real estate in NYC.
Well according to liberals nothing can ever happen, but then it happens. Two months ago it was impossible for Trump to be elected, and now he is the President elect.
Public housing can be privatized or demolished, and you're very much in denial if you think it can't be.

You are probably right. Just the potential that he will undo this regulation already is affecting the financial markets, and the markets are still a big source of tax revenue for NYC, not to mention a big part of it's GDP.
