But we must never forget those that we lost and their families.

Anyone who was living in NYC on 9/11/01 will never forget that day as well the disruption to the city residents' lives for a long period after the attack/s.

It's still depressing even 14 years later. I remember that day all too well and my family who were all NYPD having to work 12 hour 6 day a week shifts for a long time after. How the city and country was still on edge for weeks. Now I work right by World Trade. Today will be depressing. May those who lost loved ones try to find some peace.

This time of year, when they start showing 9/11 documentaries/images, it still makes my blood boil. I know its wrong, but the irrational part of my brain just wants to nuke the whole middle east to glass around this time of year. Never forget.

A sad day. Never forget. It still makes my blood boil too that so many innocent people were killed in an act of extraordinary hatred.

In retrospect it probably could have been prevented if not for the government's dereliction of duty. If only they had gone after bin Laden with the same tenacity with which they went after Bill Gates and Microsoft.

Instead, they actually turned down opportunities to capture or kill bin Laden. The CIA was aware of the arrival of at least one of the hijackers in the U.S. in 2000 and chose not to share that information with the FBI. The attacks were in the planning since late 1998 to early 1999 if not before.

Thankfully we have not had a mass terrorist attack on U.S. soil since then, so got to give the intelligence and law enforcement agencies credit for that.

This day is forever ingrained in my memory...everything from the billow of black smoke clouds to that burning smell that lingered for months after in all 5 boroughs.

Your not wrong. Never feel that your anger is unjustified. The problem is most Americans are not angry enough. That will be our downfall. We don't fight wars anymore to win, it's politically correct bulls*it. When the decision is made to go to war, your enemy must be annihilated. No mercy, no rebuilding, no humanitarian aid. You make it so devastating, so painful, that even the thought of attacking Americans doesn't enter one's head.

Terrorism doesn't fall under the Geneva convention, therefore no rules no games. They want to meet they're God? We have men and women in our armed forces more then happy to make that happen, unleash them.

May our friends and loved ones RIP, that day will never be forgotten. And for Damn sure will never be forgiven.

DSNY, well put, I agree completely. If ever a situation justified righteous anger, that was it.

And in Hudson County with any East wind. Like a nauseating mixture of burned plastic and burned bodies.
