Wasn't the class only like 20? So 6 down and not even out of FBF... Unreal lol... Before the holidays they were cancelling charts and vacations on regular weeks with no backlog, are they short that much? I hear they're over the number, but then why all the charts?

I know sanitation offers a paid course @ FBF to get your CDL. Is that course for class A or B?
And if you have your CDL class B already, does sanitation offers a course to get your class A?
We had out of towners today from another south garage, know a couple of these guys real well so thought I would share what I heard. In all my years this has happened countless times in one form or another. Nepotism is big at the DSNY. A chief's son gets on the last month of hiring, does his 30 days and within a week the kid becomes the boro mailman lol. You can't make this stuff up.
He will now never know anything about the job, no snow, no nights, no 15 tons. He will know absolutely nothing of what we go through. Soon as the supervisor test comes out, little man will score high and the rest is history. This is how you become a Chief on this job. This is the guy that will bang you for wearing the wrong hat or not having tools on your truck.
Welcome to sanitation...
