I know how to tie a tie but I'm looking for it to have a dimple in it. I've been practicing using youtube but I just end up wrinkling my ties.

I looked into Yelp.com and it looks like Fine and Dandy is the place to try. Someone commented: "Bow ties, ties, tie bars, tie clips, unique handmade accessories for men. You can even get a free bow tie tying lesson with certificate! Vintage yet modern." Fine and Dandy is located on 445 W 49th St
New York, NY 10019
b/t 10th Ave & 9th Ave
Hell's Kitchen, Midtown West
(212) 247-4847
Note the time: Opens daily Mon thru Sat from 12 pm to 8 pm. Sunday from 1 pm to 8 pm. fineanddandyshop.com
Hope this helps!

There is an app that is helpful. One of my Father's greatest failure as a parent was that he could not teach his only Son how to tie a tie.

Is this a thinly veiled commentary on absenteeism in fathers in New York City?

Those absentee dads are more likely to tie one on, rather than knot a tie

I think this is actually very good advice. I wouldn't go to a department store like Macy's but one of those expensive stores on Madison Avenue which specializes in men's formal wear should do. These stores value their customer service and showing a customer how to tie a tie is something they would gladly do.
