No way I am staying in NY once I have to follow the unconstitutional laws that non-sworn law enforcement subjects of the NY hereditary monarchy have to follow. I'm taking my scary guns, NYC pension, and kissing this state good bye. I don't plan on moving to the Poconos though, probably slightly further west and south, near the border with MD and VA so I can be closer to W.Va.
You'll need your guns in New Hampshire they are overwhelmed with heroin addicts. West Viriginia has a massive heroin problem as well, and sadly PA will continue to get more ghetto people washed out of New York City. You may very well need your guns in PA.

our area was very upscale but those 2 pa troopers ambushed in blooming grove were only one town over . also a very nice low crime town.

crime is so low most towns do not even have a police force in our area .

our town used to rent the hawley police for 15k a year . that is how low crime is in many areas of the pocono's once you stay way from monroe county .

Yeah well you still aren't getting me out there. I've seen Night of the Living Dead and ever since have formed a deep aversion to the rural PA countryside. *LOL*

Not a problem. I'm never unarmed unless I am sleeping, and even then it's right next to me.

And we have any shortage of drug addicts here (Heroin, crack, or other)?

Would be nice karma for one of these "heron"-addicted ("heron" like they say in the hood, remember those old Cam'Ron / Diplomats records?) zombies to run into the uber-arrogant uppity NyWriterdude and eat him up for dinner lol hahahah. The same guy that can't stand to be in the same room as someone from the "lower classes". Even more ironic that probably happens to be a minority that the real powers that be would probably look down upon in the first place.

I live in the Poconos, far out in the Poconos. 125 miles far out.

I don't recommend it for those with children, no matter their ages. I'm lucky enough to telecommute most of the year, only having to drive in 2-3 times a week, then when I'm needed on site 5 days, I can crash at my parents' since I don't have children at home.

Totally addicted. I'm proud of the libby-label "ammosexual"! Love when they call me that.

I guess we scared off the OP who wanted to try to convince us to buy property out there.

I think it was either a desperate home seller or a slimy real estate agent.
