I have always wanted to live in florida and raise my children there down in the sunshine.
I have section 8 and can move anywhere . I live in a nycha building that accepts section 8. I live on the first floor. I smell sewage regularly. My tub was overflowing with sewage . It's a disgusting apartment. Nycha refused to move me to a higher floor. So now I just dream of getting out completely.
My mom agreed to move to florida with me. Can I pay my rent here at nycha/section 8 while I live in florida ? My apartment will just sit empty.
Im afraid to take my section 8 there because I know once you leave new york you can not move back with section 8. My kids are autistic. I want to live there for awhile and see if I like it..of I dont like it we can always move back in nycha .
Im concerned with the schools...like what if the schools aren't as good or my kids dont flourish in their school system. I want to be able to say well let's go back home and my mom has cancer if she gets sick I want to be able to bring her back to ny with our family .
Me and my mom are going to split the rent in florida while I still pay my nycha rent . We found a nice 3 bedroom place in florida thats nice and reasonably priced.
Disgusting to talk to someone like this just because I have options I want to explore while you all are eithier payigng $3000 for a box or waiting on the nycha list.. don't call me a damn troll. My neighbor lived in nycha and still had an apartment in another state. I just wanted to know if I could do the same vice versa . I have a creative mind if I wanted to troll I would've come up with something better than this.
Yeah, go ahead and move to Florida with your mama and kids. I'm sure that your NYCHA neighbors won't rat you out or squatters won't take over your apartment. And if you move with your section 8, how are you going to pay your rent?
