The once severely dilapidated and vacant school building has been converted to apartment homes for working-class and low-income families earning between $18,729 and $142,400 per year. Fifty percent of the units are reserved for local residents and another 5% for city employees. There will be 78 studio, one and two-bedroom apartments that range from $508/month to $2,312/month. Unfortunately, for prospective renters looking to live in the building, the April deadline for applications has long passed. However, keep your eye out for postings in your local newspaper for when those rare vacancies do appear.
I don't think there will be central air. It will most likely be Window A/C units, which will surely be aesthetically disappointing but more cost effective for the developer.
