What is the street Manhattan Avenue like?
Is it considered Morningside Heights or Harlem?
How much crime/what is safety like on that street/in that area?

Thank you!

Did you mention somewhere that you are looking to buy ? There are a few good buildings, a few not good. Although it does depend what you want. 530 would need scrutiny.

It is Central Harlem-ish closer to 125th. Not Morningside at all because east of the Park.
The area directly adjacent to the projects is odd, seedy. I seldom consider anything "dangerous." There are a couple of gut-rehab buildings, developments from the last couple of years. Someone mentioned the rents and I could not imagine paying that to live on that block.

The buildings just south of the projects are co-ops and not inexpensive ones. Manhattan ends just before, kind of dead end.
