Anyone you'd recommend as an inexpensive painter to just paint two rooms? I had a guy, but he seems to have disappeared.

Just ask around, any of the Mexican contractors/laborers will probably get what you want. However *why* you would want "cheap" versus good work I don't know.

Suppose there are inexpensive painters who do a good job, but in my and the experiences have heard form others the two rarely go together.

Co-worker just had her apartment painted by some kind of "painters" the LL sent. Cheap illegal Hispanic/Latino that did a **** poor/sloppy job. They got paint over everything including bathtub, sinks, floors (including wood), various things in apartment. This even though the girl went out and got drop cloths the night before and moved/covered every inch of the place. Idiot painters simply removed the drop cloths.....

That sucks....did she pay for this as a one-time service, or does she live in a RS apt where the LL is supposed to paint every couple of years?

Nah, she is RS and knows why the LL sent the cheap ass painters, because she *is*, *LOL*

She called the LL and told them about the damage and that since she didn't own the place it was tough cheese. She also took a picture record and sent it along with a letter to be placed in her file. This so if and or when she ever moves out of the place LL won't try and pull a fast one saying the damage was her fault and subtract it from security deposit.

Quite honestly am hearing about situations like this more often and or reading in media. If you are a RS or RC tenant LLs today most always go with the cheapest labor/supplies or whatever when it comes to repairs and or required maintenance. If you don't like it their response is the same; "move".
