we use a nikon d800, my main camera , nikon d7000 my wifes main camera and a pair of fuji x100s we use for travel and light weight trips . we used all of them at the marina .
we do but the photo's can be done just as well with any camera . the camera plays a very very small part .
the most expensive camera's only give better low light ability without a tripod and faster auto focus for the most part .
if you use a tripod and are not shooting action then the more expensive camera's do not do anything far cheaper can do .
the whole key to getting great shots is learning to use the camera , having the eye and learning how to post process to improve what the lighting that day failed at .
trying to utilize only the photo's the camera hands you with no post processing usually results in getting a half finished product .
