I agree. You can't judge people by looks. I have an health issue and sometimes I get very dizzy, weak and in a lot of pain so a seat would be nice. If its available I will go sit but by the looks of me people may think why does she need a seat.

Also not all jobs involve sitting at a desk all day. Somebody may simply be tired and look forward to a seat on the subway as its the only time they get to sit all day.

My goal in subway riding is to get a seat immediately and failing that, to get one ASAP with as little standing as possible. I have a bad back and standing or sauntering is murder, but a fast walk is okay.

So an all-standing car has no appeal for me whatsoever.

They need to update the trains, like the select bus, with wider doors, larger space inside. Come on the trains are out dated and old.
Population increases every year, we need" NEW AND IMPROVED" trains. Before something really bad happens, and then what.

If trains are on the way that's good news. Is also new news to me, riding the subway is not safe, and maybe new trains
will improve the ride. People might have better attitude.
