I have been preoccupied with concern over these random slashings going on more as of late. Higher chance of myself or family and friends being a victim of that.
As for a terror attack, one cannot really prevent it. So there is not much to do other then hopefully survive, help out somehow if possible in the aftermath. It will have a bad effect on the city of course at first with reminders of 9/11. Tourism will slow, residents will have a lot if anxiety as expected. We will go on though as we always do.
i agree , it is the non terror stuff that is a bigger worry . go to any city in Israel and they are pretty much going about their business not worrying daily about their next attack .

That's because the "attacks" are aimless firecrackers that usually end up in an empty parking lot.
An attack in New York? All I can do is hope that we are elsewhere when it happens.
If I were still working in NYC, I'd do the same thing I did on 9/11. Drove out of the tunnel from Brooklyn, saw it happen, made a U-turn back into the tunnel, came out of the tunnel and headed for Staten Island and drove south (car was a rental as I had flown in that morning). I flew back into NYC on the first day flights were available to do so and dealt with all the over reactive BS while I was there. Was in Israel for a similar situation and everything returned to pretty much normal within a few hours.

Tell me more about this similar situation that they experienced over there...
