I agree it is a little ridiculous that half the threads are announcements and discussions on 80/20 and affordable housing lotteries.
Who even qualifies for these things? In most cases you have to make some crazy low wage and even then the rent you pay is crazy high for the wage earned.
Large numbers of posts to these 80/20 threads could be handled via PM.
What is your log number (if you don't mind me asking)?
What is your income (if you don't mind me asking)?
What sort of questions did they ask you at the interview (if you don't mind me asking)?
What is your credit score (if you don't mind me asking)?
Well, be comforted, because the 421a tax break has expired, and eventually there won't be any more affordable housing, and we will have to stop talking about it!

I think these threads perfectly exemplify the current affordable housing crises in NYC. I don't think they are out of control, there's like 3-4 on the first page of threads. Yes, they are active so appear at the top all the time becuase.. well... nyc is disgustingly expensive and some of us are trying to stay here despite people telling us we need to ship out. No. We won't. Deal.
Bruh there should be one mega thread of NYCHA with subforums for general things same for affordable housing. A subforum with options to create a new thread per new development
