In that vein I like the old joke that goes basically:

Man in bar with pit bull says "A thousand dollars says my Achilles here can beat any dog on Earth." Another guy leaves the bar and returns with a big yellow dog who tears Achilles apart in a couple seconds.
Achilles' owner pays up and asks what breed the yellow dog was.
Yellow dog owner says "I don't know but he looked a lot different before I shaved off the huge mane around his neck.

What would banning Pitbulls do? Poor people would just get a different dog breed if they were banned, like Rottweilers.

All large dogs are banned in public housing. It is illegal to keep any breed of large dog there. This stupid family will lose their apartment and be banned from NYCHA permanently.

Didn't know large dogs are banned from NYCHA. Then again, not everyone who resides in them is known for obeying rules.

Dogs who were there before the rule took effect are grandfathered in:

Pet Policy - NYCHA

So the question would be whether those dogs were grandfathered in and if there is proof. If they were there legally the owner is in a ****load of trouble and can kiss NYCHA goodbye.
