Can anyone recommend a Dr. to treat Hashimotos who can actually consider prescribing the dessicated stuff, not just levo? That seems to be all that thyroid Dr.'s know how to do, but I believe there are those who actually recommend supplements, use compounding pharmacies and talk about food and try to find the cause of the Hashimotos. I just cant find one.

Try finding a physician (MD or DO), with a specialty in endocrine related diseases and naturopathetic medicine.

There are many names and websites in NYC but how do I know who to go to? My insurance won't keep shelling out for initial consultations and I would really love a recommendation more than a clue as to where I should look.
