It seems that with the lowering of enforcement action every year people feel the entitled right to smoke it everywhere and anywhere without consideration for anyone around them. And it's only going to get worse especially with De Blasio in office

Personally when I was in NY, I never had this problem. What's disgusting is this war on drugs that targets black/Hispanic men and the poor. We need to have compassion and stop criminalizing people!

Yea...but now that the opioid crisis has come full swing on mostly white small town America it’s time to go into crisis mode.

But it wasn’t a problem when black and brown people were being locked up.

What a racist translation. Your mind is seriously in the wrong place. Why would you even assume it's black people who are dealing drugs?

All the black people I know have full-time jobs or are working 2-3 jobs.

wasn't my translation, and that's exactly what people are talking about when they say end the war on drugs and don't go after dealers because they are overwhelmingly black and end up in jail

What difference does it make if wasn't your translation, you're supporting and perpetuating it with your posts

But the anonymity the Internet provides lends a great deal to that

I doubt you would be saying any of this in front of a live audience.

When rational people say end the war on drugs 99.99% of the time they refer to ending the illegality of drugs.

And 99.99% of the time it will be followed by "because it disproportionately affects people of color"
