Can someone point me to any facts or specifics as to how many trans people were actually affected by not having a bathroom specified to them? Was it more than 10?

This was yet another issue that really wasn't a big issue but politicians blew it out of proportion to get themselves air time to make it seem like they are "getting things done" without actually doing anything of substance that would benefit the masses of citizens.

When the subway GETS toilets, then they should post ads about who can use the imaginary things.

There are toilets. You don't want to use them.

I am SO fed up with the headline attention given to minor problems that affect only a tiny portion of the population. Surely there are more important issues?

Yes, there are. They just don't want you to think about them.

Agree 100% -- it's a great diversion tactic. As long as you're thinking about this BS, you won't be thinking about issues that are far more consequential such as why NYC has such insane taxes but such low QoL and poor public services.

Actually on second thought it all fits. June is Gay Pride month.
