Does anyone know how the Saratoga train station is? I'd probably take that if its any safer than waiting for the bus.

I'd guess the concert is more dangerous than the surroundings

lol man… No offense but this is kinda funny, you sound like you going to some type of warzone of something.

Ive been to Brownsville a couple times before, skinny ass french white dude like me… Was walking in the middle of pitkin, mother gaston, end of the afternoon, nobody even cared or looked strange at me.

People need to chill, New York isn't Iraq. Even Brownsville is cool sometimes lol

Don't be scared, keep your eyes open like you would do anywhere and just enjoy the show man, no need to inflict that kind of stress to yourself.

Overall, don't act like you are not supposed to be there. You going to a fuggin hip hop show dude, you got all the right to be in Bville if thats where the show takes place, plain and simple.

It's closed until Fall 2016. The surrounding area is (relatively) safe though.

I agree with the above poster. Heck, I see White people walking around here almost daily, no need to panic lol.

I'm hoping my friend will be able to hook me up with this free uber ride or else I'll be stuck waiting for the bus. I'm hoping other people will be around waiting with me cuz theres no way in hell I'm going to be there after 9-10pm by myself.

I don't really care about during the day I'm more concerned when it's dark. Have you been there at night?

I understand your concern when you're not from there.

After dark in Brownsville I read on here that Dads diddle their daughters in the parks. That is until a gang of guys come on the scene and take advantage of the drunks.

When my husband went to an interview in Brownsville the hospital employees warned him to not go out at night alone around that area. That it's very dangerous after dark. This is the same hospital that has a reputation for the military sending their doctors in training for rotations on trauma there to prepare them for war.

But what do I know? I'm not from New York.

Let us know how it goes if you do make it there and back.

Appreciate the posts. The other person who I know going isn't bringing his phone. That's the only thing I'd be fearful of getting stolen but I might be overreacting.
