Just walking through Penn yesterday to catch my train home and I see a line of cops in blue holding what I think were semi-automatic rifles. This isn't the first time I've seen this as I've noticed it for years, but was wondering what their story was. Sometimes I saw actual military in military outfit carrying rifles in Atlantic Terminal, but only in Penn do I see cops in blue carrying these rifles.

I can't help but actually feel UNSAFE when I see these guys packing those arms. When I looked at a lot of them, most of them looked like they had less IQ than a toad and some of them were just playing with the parts of their weapon because you could definitely hear a clicking sound on and off. Like a little kid playing with a toy.

God forbid an ORlando incident happened in Penn, I feel like these blue brothers would contribute more to the body count. I bet the average gun-owning Texas civilian is far more responsible and cautious than NY's unfinest.

Yes the first word that springs to mind when you say average gun-owning Texan is "cautious"
You seem a very perceptive person.

what everyone is not aware of is that back in the 1990's before nyc did away with the target permit and went to a residence permit most permit holders in nyc were carrying .

it was only an administrative violation back then because the target hunting permit was really a restricted carry permit .

today they use a residence permit and it is a crime to be caught so most if not all no longer carry .

the point being you were surrounded unknowingly by a lot more good guys with guns back then only no one knew it . there were more then 30,000 permit holders .

folks never suspected or worried that there could be an armed person on that bus or train car yet there could have been ..

Back then, gun fetishism and political polarization weren't anywhere near as ludicrous as they are nowadays.
