You need to consult a lawyer who specializes in marriage and divorce. And if you've already been approved for an apartment, you should mention it to them or else you might be accused of hiding assets. You could be kicked out for that and also prosecuted.

From the Marketing Guidelines, page 47:

3. Prohibition – Rental Affordable Unit
For a rental affordable unit, no member of the applicant’s household may own
any residential real property in, or within a 100-mile radius of, New York City.

I know there are probably good reasons why you would separate from your spouse and not file for a legal separation. Some people find it to their advantage to stay on health plans, etc., or just don't want to shell out for a divorce lawyer. But the situation you're in now definitely shows the downside.

I just received an email yesterday asking me to set up an interview for 535 W43rd. So my guess is, they're not leased up yet.

Hey! Do you mind giving your stats? Preference or not? Log #?
Thanks.. I have a 15xx log number but no preference, and I sorta gave up because the email address I used was super old and packed with junk, not sure if I missed the email, or just never got one.

My friend was treated like she was asking for welfare benefits. She made all these demands and questioned everything. Treated her like dirt. She didn't bother going back for the additional paperwork she wanted.
