Bedford Academy in Brooklyn need more information (crime, high school)

I know more about schools in district 2 than brooklyn. Could someone give me more insights into the school, which is located at 679 Lafayette Avenue. The school appears on paper to be good. Is there any crime happening around and inside of the school. What is the good and bad associations with the school? Any information will be helpful before my niece attends.

Bedford Academy High School

Insideschools.org gave that school a green check, so I would assume that it's good. Read the reviews on that link, it should be helpful.

Thanks, I viewed them but wanted more of a personal experience. They come to the school one day and do an assessment, not really a clear picture. Those who have children, work there, or live in the community creates at times a different picture than what's written.
