This "heat dome" is indeed disastrous. I cannot remember a protracted spell like this. I am missing my daily walks but I am too prone to heat exhaustion so I am relying on my Fedder's to keep me comfy in my nest.


God protect us from a grid meltdown...people would drop like flies.

I'm actually enjoying this heat. My joints aren't aching and I am still taking walks everywhere.

nyc summers are terrible the humidity level is what kills you.
the only good thing in this heat is to do laundry and hang it out, thats about all this hot weather is good for - drying clothes.
im all caught up on my washing.

All about perspective I guess. If you are used to humidity, it's really not bad. I'll take a NYC summer over a summer in the South.

summer in the south can be a bit bad....the worst ever in my experience is Yuma, AZ...its like the surface of the sun...120+...I can blast the AC in the car for 30 min & I am still burning hot
