Apple finally opened a store in the hipster Brooklyn neighborhood of Williamsburg, and it's as stylish as you'd ever hope for.
The Post Street location replicates a town square, paired with a delicate and airy feel. Williamsburg has gone in much the same direction.
The newest store -- the iPhone maker's first in Brooklyn -- also follows the same philosophy that Apple's design chief, Jony Ive, has brought to the company's retail locations. In late May, Apple kicked off a design overhaul embodied by its newest San Francisco store. Out with the perfectly white counters and glass boxes, and in with the smooth oak tables and warm earth tones.

Is Williamsburg even a hipster neighborhood or just a bunch of rich yuppies? From what I gather, Bushwick and Bed Stuy are where the real hipster scene is now .

Basically. Williamsburg is way too expensive for the bohemian crowd and has been for awhile now. Mostly just spoiled brats and euro trash now. I'm not sure your typical yuppie would be drawn to Williamsburg tho. UES or somewhere else in the city.
Williamsburg is basically an uglier version of Soho now. It's not hard to see that just walking around the neighborhood, especially on weekends.
williamsburg is basically little-midwest, as you have little italy, chinatown, etc. and has morphed into an enclaved neighborhood for entitled white transplants and college grads. that said, i lived in williamsburg in 2002 for a year, and it was completely different back then. last 8 years or so, the ohio st, purdue, penn state contingency discovered it, and now reminds me alot of hoboken which also began as a hip neighborhood (yes it was actually cool back then), and now just an expensive train hub and transplant bedroom neighborhood for downtown nyc with too many overpriced asian fusion restaurants.
