It still beats the arrangement I've got now. And it will keep electricity costs lower to not be running a washer/dryer in the unit.

This is just temporary, the first elevator on the left goes down there but yeah it'll be annoying to always switch if that's not the elevator you get onto on your floor ... reallg not a big deal though lol we can't complain can we ?

They really should just allow us access to that elevator from behind in the refuse. Hopefully once they're finally done with construction, we'll be able to use it since that's the only way to guarantee direct access to the basement.

The elevator on the left has not been going to the basement for weeks. It sucks having to get off the lobby with laundry and take the stairs down and then come back up with laundry to the lobby. Imagine having to do this with stuff you have in a storage unit.

One of the porters told me they're also annoyed with it, and that the construction people are working on getting it up and running.

I love everything about the building though and I cant wait to fully move in this week !!!

I think the porter is full of crap The elevator on the left will not go to the basement for laundry until the construction is finished cuz the only tenants that need it are the AFFORDABLE apts . My 2cents but i truly believe it

omg the complaints of living in an affordable RENT STABALIZED for the next 30 years apartment in a prime area of Manhattan are maddening to hear. Really taking a flight of stairs to do your laundry is asking too much? I don't know who is worse in this city, the ultra rich of the ultra poor sometimes! Most people would kill to win such a thing and have no issues walking up, er, maybe TWO flights of stairs to do their laundry in a safe, secure, LUXURY building.

Taking a flight of stairs down is no big deal but having to come BACK UP with laundry or stuff from STORAGE to the lobby to then take a elevator is A BIG DEAL ESPECIALLY FOR DISABLED in the building. #getwoke
