That's a good log number, even without community preference. Good luck. Let us know how it goes. We're all starved for information.
Thanks! I am in the process for 3 other buildings so I'm going to take whatever I have first, but they did tell me that once my file is complete they want to send it in to HPD asap because they're farther along in the process. Ironically the same people for another building that I'm going for are handeling this one too. I'll keep you guys posted.
I'm new here but stumbled upon this thread through my current situation. It's my first time going through this so I know nothing but have been reading this as my guideline.
I'm currently in the process of an appeal, they calculated my income incorrectly. I'm just waiting for a response for the appeal. My log number is 3XX.
Just curious, and don't feel you have to divulge, but, generally, how did they miscalculate your income? And do you have community preference (do you live in Community Board 6)? You have a great log number, with or without community preference.
Let us know how the appeal goes. I fear I might fall into the same boat--in which they'll project a job that has a definite end as continuing for an entire year.
I had to send them my contract in my appeal. Now I'm just playing the waiting game. It seemed like they didn't even want to hear me out on anything at first (the temp position) but reading this thread reassured me that they just need to be very through. I've meet a few people who has gone through the process but never through the appeal. They are very prompt when it comes to getting in contact with them too which made me feel very happy when reading other people stories.
I've actually walked to the location last month and people were already living there but most of the building lights were off. They have a section where you can go in by yourself and check out the apartment layout. I didn't do it since it was pretty late and I didn't want to fall to deep in love with the place.
It sounds as if you'll be OK in the appeal. Good luck.
I am in the process for another building whose property managers are handeling this building too. I was rejected for west 38th st apartments (before being called for this one I appealed). They accepted it within a week of receiving it.
