I recall they said they caught the "suspect" 1 or two months ago because he was a running around naked around that area.

We'll know once we get the results from the DNA.
There is something fishy here about this case. We need to see if the DNA evidence matches.

Found at another forum

The DNA match wasn't familial DNA. It was "touch" DNA.

He came upon Katrina's body, touched her, touched her phone, left it there and took off.

His DNA under her finger nails is a lie!

NYPD has put a whole bunch of innocent people in jail before and with the pressure from the Vertrano family to find the killer. I wouldn't put it past them to coerce a mentally impaired 20 year old, they did it before which we have videotapes of (central park five). Are they going to release the confession case? Something just seems off with this case based on the information I have been finding across the web, and also the past information of the family.

Also in the article, the NYPD states his DNA was found in her fingernails. However, doesn't mention anything about the rape kit dna. The suspect also doesn't admit to raping her. Why would they not say his DNA was the DNA found in the rape kit, if i remember correctly they found a used condom (that hasn't been brought up again). So was the DNA in the rape kit not his, they give out all the other information mid-investigation but not the DNA rape kit information?

And the sketch looks absolutely nothing like him.

How about this, let's release him to your custody and you need to keep him in your home 24/7.

If he's so innocent, you watch him.

They just got a confession out of him. Was it videotaped? It feels like he's patsy in a bigger conspiracy.

He's already guilty by the media just by being black.
What makes you think that he's the "patsy" in a "bigger conspiracy?"

Are ya going to discuss the case or going to debate about nonsense. Why wasn't DNA mentioned from the rape kit? Why did Chanel admit to the murder but not the rape.

It sounds like he's going to plead guilty and take the rap for it, bypassing a trial by jury.
