What is the "hole" neighborhood? I'm not familiar with the area.

No. It happened deep in the weeds. The Hole is off the Conduit. The gym I go to (LA Fitness) is in that new shopping center built right along side The Hole. Word on the street is local Wiseguys are looking for this creep as well. He'd better hope that the PD finds him before they do. There's homeless people living in the weeds. I've seen encampments, also they live under the bridges along the Shore Parkway Bicycle Path. I thought about walking out on those trails one day, but I didn't get a comfortable feeling, so I didn't. I always heard stories about The weeds being a mafia body dumping ground and like I said I've seen homeless people coming and going out of them, so I thought it's best not to venture out into them. I feel real bad for the family. The wake was over at Romanelli's funeral home on Rockaway Blvd, a block from where I live. As a parent myself, I can't imagine the agony her parents are feeling right now...Horrible.

The mother is screaming for blood. Who can blame her?

Mother of murdered Queens jogger offers killer chilling message - NY Daily News

If the POS who did this was indeed a stranger to the area he's long made tracks, but still someone might have saw something and or someone is missing that once hung around.

As for the homeless "camp", something tells me it will be cleaned out quite soon. In fact if those guys know what is good for them they'd move along....

From what I have learned from FBI profiler Jim Clemente, the criminal is most likely a stranger to the victim being as someone who knows the victim would have tried to conceal the body and evidence. Instead the criminal tried to move as quickly away from the scene of the crime as possible and left a lot of evidence behind in which they felt comfortable wouldn't be linked to them easily.

All up and down Woodhaven and Cross Bay you see all these rust belt looking homeless guys. You can just tell they are not from around here. Look like OWS leftovers.

They were interviewing locals about the park. They call it the weeds, and many, even 20 year old males, were talking about it not being safe to venture into the weeds alone.

I think the killer knew the victim, the force and injuries seem personal. That's just my opinion.

Unless it's a serial killer.

It's definitely a sad situation and my heart goes out to the family as I'm sure they are devestated!

Sometimes a little common sense goes a long way. I'm a physically fit man and not even I would run in that area alone.
