Rockaway Beach line would benefit the casino big time. Resorts World is undergoing a major expansion, and it is adding a hotel and other amenities to it's site. In 4 years Resorts World will be able to have house based table gambling, instead of justice electronic games (including electronic games).
The developers of beach real estate in the Rockaways would benefit from this (you know have communities like Avalon by the Sea), etc.
It would give travelers the option of taking the LIRR to Jamaica for the Airtrain or to Howard Beach for the Airtrain, so JFK does benefit from Rockaway Beach LIRR.
I can't think of any interests that would lobby for the Utica Avenue line and I agree it is not the biggest priority.
I agree that it's probably not a big priority, but it could help to expedite his (Deblasio's) affordable housing plan by creating new homes and apartments along the corridor. The line would already start off in gentrifying Crown Heights and go to Kings Plaza.
It could also give him a reason to boast about how "great" ENY's transportation is for his rezoning over there since the 3 & 4 lines would have to swap terminals and the New Lots branch would have 24/7 express service in Brooklyn along with Crown Heights and other neighborhoods it passes through.

If this plans happens DeBlasio will be forever known as displacing massive amounts of low income residents from Brooklyn. As soon as the plan is announced, changes will start to occur in those neighborhoods immediately.
If this line ever does happen it will lead to accelerated growth of downtown Brooklyn. Downtown Brooklyn would start to rival midtown and lower Manhattan for corporate demand.
There are plenty of trains that run along the West Side.. You can't have one on every avenue.. Main issues is the upper east into the Bronx, in addition to sections of Brooklyn and Queens.. In terms of Marine Park, what train lines do most citizens take now? What's the closest to them?
Disagree. It's pretty hard to get down to the Hudson south of the new 7 station and north of Tribeca. With all the new development on the river, there will be thousands of new residents in that area.
B100 to the Kings Highway B/Q. I'm very familiar with the route as I took it regularly when I was growing up in Bergen Beach.
At present the B100 is a total ****ing disaster of a line. Especially off-peak.
The B100 is awful. I think my husband used to take the B44 from Marine Park (he wasn't too far from one of the stops) to the 2/5. Or something like that.
This would be IRT, as it's an extension of the 2/5 from Brooklyn College southward. (Also, they don't designate new track as BMT any more, only IRT or IND.)

It's an extension of Utica avenue not Nostrand. It would still be IRT like you said, and most likely the 3 would be the line to serve it.
@l1995, you're correct there's two categories A division and B division. IRT, BMT, and IND were the companies that previously owned the subway though.

Deblob will be known for many things at the end of the day.
