For anyone who is curious, Yelp has many pictures of the place.

Blue Hill at Stone Barns - NY Magazine Restaurant Review

I would personally save my money instead of going to outback and eating a mediocre steak. I would rather spend my money on fine dining. You can eat at a 3 star michelin restaurant in the midwest for the price of a terrible outback in the NY metro area.

actually ,while you get lots of different dishes they are small samplings . i can see a big eater still being hungry . it is 90% vegetarian . i could have used some more dead animals , ha ha ha

it really is more for the experience than a belly full of food .

they have a place in manhattan but it is a more conventional menu .

We have two that could be handy: 23rd St. and 117th St. (which we pass when shopping ALDI's.)

Has anyone eaten in either of these two locations? Are the steaks good?
Anything else you would care to add is welcome.

<Yes, I know this is not Peter Luger's.>

My dad enjoys going to Outback. I think that is the only chain restaurant he goes to on a regular basis.

But I take him to the one in Brooklyn. He has no issue with them cooking it how he wants it. It is ALWAYS busy there.

Uncle Jacks further down Bell blvd is amazing but very expensive. Me and my dad ate there once a few years ago and our meals all together cost over $200.

There use to be a Boulders Creek on 20th Ave in College Point but I think they closed down. Never heard too many good things about them though.

Weird. I was just thinking about the Outback Steakhouse by us and wondering how that chain is doing. I haven't been to one since the year 2000 and it was in Richmond, Virginia. We only went because the birthday girl wanted a thing called a 'Blooming Onion.' That's all I remember of Outback. I've been to TGIFs more but I don't really enjoy their food either. It doesn't really seem like food. It all seems processed and reheated.

Maybe I was thinking about it because I saw some new appetizer recently in a commercial for them that looked good. Only problem is I can't remember what it was now. Oh well. It would probably make me sick anyways.

Looks great! I've always wanted to go to "The French Laundry" in upstate California. Eight course dinner.

I hope to go next year.
