turbotax does all of these things automatically. I use to work in Stamford as a full-time resident of NYC and I got everything back from CT. It might be different for you if you are a non-resident of NYC.

xdriv3, good for you on looking to get out. I am also. Its been far to long living here. I haven't dealt much with the crumbling infrastructure, but it is scary.

My issue is the amount of people on food stamps. People move here because they know that they can file under the radar and keep getting the handouts. Not the same thing in other states where there are controls. The most entitled people live here, both rich and poor entitlement.

Unfortunately, Connecticut is not doing as well. GE is moving to Boston and there were rumors that Yale would leave even though i knew it wasn't going to happen.

I can always come back to NYC as I went to school here and my alma mater is here. Lots of alumni events to come to.

Yeah, I'm from the 5 boroughs as well.

I'm not to econ savvy, so I can't get into the nitty gritty of why corps are moving out. But does this affect normal citizens?
