Belmont: Mexicans, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, Albanians, Italians, college students, probably some blacks
Norwood: Hispanics, Blacks, South Asians, probably some whites
Kingsbridge: Whites, Dominicans, Mexicans, some blacks (the area around the 1 train station, you see all kinds of people)
Nowhere in the Bronx looks like Kensington, but it's more diverse than people give it credit for.
Kingsbridge is really not that diverse. The whites generally live west of Broadway. There aren't that many blacks in Kingsbridge. The neighborhood is mainly Dominican overall. To my knowledge the Mexican presence is due to them working in the area, not because they live there. Now in East Harlem there are definitely more present and have more businesses there.

I think the whole East of Broadway vs West of Broadway thing is overblown, therr are whites on thr East Side and Dominicans on the West (also referring to Washington Heights and Inwood).
I've seen Mexican families in Kingsbridge so it's not just workers.

I always thought the same and that it was a little racist frankly. You would think the west was the garden of babylon the way some went on...

While that may be true, they certainly are not a major ethnic group in Kingsbridge or really anywhere in the Northwest Bronx like Dominicans are. East and West of Broadway isn't overblown. Historically when the whites fled Inwood, the ones that remained were west of Broadway. In Kingsbridge, historically, whites have generally lived west of Broadway, particularly around Tibbett Avenue. The whites now living east of Broadway in Inwood are mainly gentrifiers/newcomers looking for cheaper rents that you tend not to find west of Broadway. Of course there are Hispanics west of Broadway in both Inwood and Kingsbridge, but from a historical standpoint, west of Broadway in both neighborhoods has been majority white.
My remark was moreso in regards to Washington Heights. There are Dominicans on both sides of Broadway and I think on this forum with regards to Wash Heights it is a bit overblown as this mythical line of demarcation.

White 20-something here living in Bedford Park. There's a sizable dominican population, but also quite a few blacks (Both African and African American), visible Albanian population (all the building supers!), Pakistanis and Bangladeshis, as well as an older generation of whites--quite a few in my building, mostly of Irish descent. This part of the Bronx used to be heavily Irish/Italian/Jewish until the 70s mass exodus to LI/Jersey/Westchester county.
one area thats underrated yet incredibly diverse is van nest........I thought it was all albanians and a few hispanics but i see albanians hispanics, surprisingly theres quite a few blacks living in the area. Ive also seen arabs and indian/bangladeshis living in the area.
