So i got an interview for the dean st lottery, which looks awesome btw, but along with it I got a Certification of Eligibility Form but I remember not putting down any disabilities. I even went back to my application and I couldn't find it on the application. But the lady keeps telling me that the application they got says I have it and if I am saying I dont then thats a automatic disqualification - I was wondering if I check off no on all of these boxes and then my doctor signs it would i get disqualified or does it count cause I mean sure i have vision problems but there not bad enough where i need a brail stove lol.
I think you should go to your doctor and have him fill out the form. because if you go on the interview without it being filled out you will be disqualified.
I have heard of this happening in the past. I think the online application is confusing.
A friend of mine was contacted last year and told, "Bring proof of your disability." When she told them she is not disabled, the reply was, "Oh, that's okay, we see that you have the community preference, so come in anyway."
She ended up being approved for an apartment.
So the short answer is, do you qualify under any other preference group? Community board, city worker, anything else? If so, you might have hope. If not, I think you're out.
