On and off for most of the summer I've been congested with a runny nose and headaches. As far as I know, I only have a grass allergy, but it's no longer grass allergy season. I've been feeling off all summer. Does anyone else have really bad allergies in the city this summer? I spend most of my time in the Upper East Side where I live and work, but I don't even spend time near Central Park. I just want to know if there is a big allergy problem or if it's just me.

I'm having it as well. When spring and fall approaches, my allergies go berserk.

I have been experiencing the very same symptoms plus scratchy throat that turned into laryngitis!

Not allergies per se, although I did have some eye allergy issues earlier in the summer. What I have been dealing with mostly is congestion. I feel like the air quality has been terrible but I keep seeing these daily reports saying it is mostly fine. I often wakeup with my ears feeling plugged, nasal congetsion, sore throat, and headaches.

Me too. When I was younger it was never a problem but now my nose runs ll the time. I have to carry around a big wad of napkins in my back pocket so I don't drip.

Ears being plugged? That might well be earwax built up. Let your doc flush them out! Helps a lot.
Or try to it yourself by putting Hydrogen Peroxide into them.

Yep, terrible. Though I'm actually OK when I'm in Manhattan, it's when I'm back in NJ that it's a problem. Probably ragweed.
