After waiting 5 years, we FINALLY saw Book of Mormon. What a wonderful show.
I would have liked to see Andrew Rannells, but Gabe Gibbs was quite good.

Yes, but Jersey Boys had a great run. And there's still time for people to get tickets if they haven't seen it yet.

Did you need to wait 5 years to get tickets (meaning is it difficult to get tickets to this show)?

Best line: "Jesus called me a dick."

It is not hard to get FULL PRICE tickets now, but that is not our forte. I have never seen it on TDF. We got orchestra standing room for $27, but that's hard on the back. House was completely sold out.

Next hurdle: HAMILTON.

I saw BOM twice: once paying full price for decent mezzanine seats (buying almost a year in advance) and then doing the $27 standing room a couple of weeks later. I laughed my head off both times. The person next to me at my standing room spot happened to be a Roman Catholic priest, and at first I was nervous to be that close to a clergyperson because I knew what was coming. But he laughed even louder than I did.

And I heard the BOM tour played Salt Lake City and did very well.

The show is so vulgar and profane, and shocking, and blasphemous, that I still have trouble believing that it's been such a hit. I'm surprised there aren't people picketing the theater day and night.

I'm also a bit surprised that Hamilton is such a hit. It's not the fluffy, fun show that tourists seem to like. You need to pay close attention and digest a whole lot of words. And it doesn't have a particularly happy ending. I love it to pieces though. It is truly a once in a generation show.

As far as seeing Hamilton on the cheap, keep playing the daily lottery on Broadway Direct. There are 22 seats available for each show at $10 each. Then, next year, the number of seats will be doubled. I speculate the box seats will be doing to the lotto. I play every day that I can make the show. In the meantime, enjoy the cast recording.
