Sanitation guy (user name forgotten) was banned shortly after making some particularly salty comments about Muslim people.
Does it depend on the intensity of the hate, or the judgment of the particular Mod that day? I dunno what the standard is.
I personally know right wing people in NYC (of all colors, though mostly white). Keep in mind NYC gave Giuliani two terms and Bloomberg three terms.
Keep in mind NYC has also had serious issues with racism and segregation.
I was going to try to correct you and realized how sad and embarrassing it is that conservatism has become conflated with racism in American culture. Well done, alt-right.
To the growing concern of many City Data members, the New York City forum appears to have a growing number of far-right, alt-right, and white supremacist members. This is dangerous, and also unrepresentative of New York City. Many of these types troll the threads waiting to demonize people with questions about public housing or people with questions about neighborhoods in the Bronx in Harlem. Some even openly vilify black people or Hispanic people. This has been a problem long before Trumps election, but I am asking moderators here to issue a blanket ban on white supremacist users in the New York City forum. This kind of environment discourages people with genuine questions about the city. To those remaining users who are not racists, use the report button above a post when you see flagrant violations together we will resist the takeover of this forum by the white nationalists
The most desirable places to live in these United States are very unrepresentative of NYC...thank God...
