Since there is a clear Trump reference, I thought we could go to the source for a peek at such a "basic" apartment:

That apt is ugly as hell. It looks like a fake imitation of a King's palace...

I was thinking Louis XVI ala Bob's Discount Furniture.
Or something like an amalgam of Nouveu-Riche-Hillbilly.

I'd prefer laundry in the apartment, or at least on the floor. While I'd like a dishwasher, I'd do without for a washing machine. I like to wash clothes at odd hours.

I lived in a place with a deep, oversized, one bowl sink. I didn't like it at first, but learned that the big roasting pan, broiler tray and grill rack could be soaked in it.

Rooftop or some sort of outdoor space would be important to me. I like to be outside and I don't want to see 500 people when I'm there. City parks just don't cut it for me.

If the apartments are small, I'd want bike storage. If parking is tight in the area, I'd want a lot or garage space.

Storage and closets! I could live in an efficiency if I had enough space to store things.

Package delivery. I order many things online and I'd want someone to secure them.

A common space, room would be nice. People do hold small parties there, and when the weather is frightful, sometimes people just want to leave their home for a little while.

Nod to Nightcrawler. When my parents moved into their first apartment, there was no clothesline and nowhere to put one. Dad put one up in the kitchen. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Package receipt is so important. I have a friend in a Queens co-op, without a doorperson, whose packages either disappear or she has to go through multiple attempts at delivery.
Getting a big-ticket item that way is frustrating.
